Not a Total Waste

6.1.2012
Friday.
Today, we didn’t have class! So I went in and shipped the Didgeridoo I bought Dad. It shipped for the low price of $172. I then went and sent myself a package for the low price or $113. What can I say, we’re an island. It would have been less if I wanted to ship it literally by ship as opposed to air. But by boat it can take 3 months and it is way more likely to get lost and I just didn’t want to risk that.
I then went into school. I wanted to pick up my prints, from the printer, but no one was in the shop. There was a sign that said that they would be back at 4:30. This was at about 2. Can you do that? Can you just leave your business for 2.5 hours? Apparently yes. So I skyped my family, probably for the last time before I see them in real life. Crazy.
Then I went in and chatted with Kimberly in her office for a while and gave her some picture files for our class debrief on Tuesday. By that time it was about 5 and I thought, hopefully the printer is back, but when I went to check, they were closed. Bummer. I don’t really get how you can keep a business that way, but all well. I did get to skype the family today, so going into school wasn’t a total waste.
After that I headed home. Tomorrow I am heading to the Great Barrier Reef!
