After such an eventful day yesterday, I took the opportunity
to sleep in today. I slept until much later than I would like to admit. But I
did have enough time to run some errands. I went to the shopping centre and
picked up some Tim-Tams, and some props to use in my photography class.
I came home and got ready for church. When I got on the
shuttle bus to church, I met a girl named Colleen. She was from Northern
Ireland. I tell you, I had the HARDEST time understanding her accent. I had to
have her say her name about 5 times before I had her spell it. But she was a
very nice girl.
Once at church, I saved seats for Hong and Julliane and
their friend Joseph. They showed up just as the music started so I didn’t have
to fight anyone off to save their seats. After church I talked to Kenny from
street teams. Not to be confused with Kenny from connect group. Kenny from street
teams is from Georgia and goes to Hillsong College. He is pretty great, but
claimed that we were not friends because we weren’t friends on Facebook. What
is the world coming to?! So I’ll have to find him and add him so we can be
friends in real life.
I took the train home with Hong and Julliane. They
introduced me to Choc Pie. I’m pretty sure that Hostess makes an identical type
of dessert. But it was pretty good and they gave me one to take home too.
When I got home I ate the pumpkin soup that they had had for
dinner. It is so funny to me that pumpkin soup is now in season for them.
Pumpkin soup is for October and November people! You’ve got it all backwards.
And on that note I headed to bed.
