Rocky Horror Townsends Show

5.18.2012
Friday.
Today was our last class Aboriginal class with our teacher Jennifer. We only had it for the beginning part of the day. The afternoon session was optional. They were taking a group to go to the quarantine station. But I did not sign up to go. Instead, I went with Monika and Tam to this super cute coffee shop at the other end of Parramatta road. It looked really small, but then there were bookshelves that swung open to reveal an entirely different room. So cool!
So the three of us hung out and drank iced chai’s and just enjoyed each others company. I really enjoy spending time with those girls.

I got home around 4:30 and got to work on my essay for a bit. I went up to the house around 6:30 to see what was on about dinner. Well as it happened, today was Claire’s Birthday. So not only was it the usually crew, but Daniel (other brother), Aunt Jackie, cousin Hugh, God Mother Sharon and Daniels friend Kate were all there. We basically just snacked on h'orderves and hung out all night. The night only improved when Michelle tried on Clare’s thigh high leather boots that she had rented for a costume party. Clare will be going to the party as cat woman, so she has boots and a corset. Michelle put on both. It was quite a sight.

Just when I thought I’d seen everything the Townsends could throw at me, they put on the soundtrack to the Rocky Horror Picture show. They sang and danced to I’m just a sweet transvestite as well as the time warp. Yup. This is my family people. And I love them oh so much! I made sure to take video. Next time I’m feeling blue, I can just replay the video of Neil dancing like a maniac to the Time Warp, and I will have no choice but to laugh.
Pretty great Friday Night in.
